What Your Impact IsConduct biological surveys and impact assessments that influence major projects, collect and analyze field data, collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, and support permitting processes that balance ecological integrity with business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform fieldwork and desk‑based analyses for baseline studies and impact assessments.
- Collect, organize, and interpret ecological data using digital tools.
- Prepare technical reports and contribute to permitting documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulators to ensure project success.
- Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and compliance.
- BA/BS in biology, natural resource science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1‑2 years of experience.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%) and work in remote, challenging environments.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS, Garmin and/or Trimble GPS, and digital data collection platforms.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and initiative.
- Valid driver’s license and/or ability to operate a company vehicle.
- Master’s degree in biology or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in biological surveys, permitting, or impact assessment.
- Knowledge of Nevada Conservation Credit System, sage‑grouse monitoring, and avian surveys.
Annual base pay: $67,200–$85,420 (USD). Compensation may vary based on education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. May be eligible for bonus pay, though not guaranteed. Benefits include paid time off, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, AD&D insurance, 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP, and other applicable benefits to eligible employees.
