Job Description Summary
You’re an experienced Millwright with a strong focus on crusher maintenance in a surface mining environment. You’ll support production by maintaining and repairing crushing systems while completing inspections and Field Level Hazard Assessments. You’ll also apply core millwright skills to ensure reliable equipment performance and maximize uptime.

Essential Responsibilities- Perform safe and efficient maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of crushing and processing equipment to support production targets at the Borealis surface mine.
- Maintain and service crushing systems and components including jaw/cone crushers, pulleys, belts, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, chutes, and liners.
- Perform welding and cutting tasks as required, including proficiency in MIG and Stick welding processes, as well as Oxy‑Acetylene cutting.
- Complete pre‑trip / walk around inspections and daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA), ensuring hazards are identified and controlled prior to work.
- Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and service manuals to determine work procedures and diagnose mechanical issues.
- Perform scheduled, preventative, and predictive maintenance (including vibration analysis), and align, test, and adjust equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, report and log equipment concerns, and communicate effectively with operations and maintenance teams.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining equipment in an industrial or surface mining environment, with crushing plant experience strongly preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with crusher maintenance, conveyors, and rotating equipment in a production‑driven setting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with site operations and maintenance crews.
- Ability to meet all site access requirements including respirator fit testing where required.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing.
- MSHA Part 48 (Metal/Non‑Metal) certification preferred but training would be made available.
- Various schedules working 10‑12 hour days with the potential for a night shift with overtime after 40 hours/week.
