Job Summary

At Epiroc USA LLC, our Parts and Services (PSD) Division provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customers’ productivity. Field Service Technicians provide thorough service support for technical problems, monitoring, testing, and demonstrations that minimize downtime and reduce costs. The technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing parts with a sense of urgency while maintaining Epiroc’s high quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Regularly review and update personal tool inventory on a quarterly basis to maintain compliance with company calibration and tool replacement protocols.
  • Complete daily work assignments as requested by the customer or supervisor.
  • Use basic analytical skills to troubleshoot, identify problems, and complete repair of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems on-site or by phone.
  • Understand the company’s warranty policy and process warranty claim reports in the field.
  • Adhere to safety and environmental requirements, promote proper safety procedures and use of PPE.
  • Maintain courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff.
  • Support warranty claims, evaluate and validate claims, and submit service reports to support claims (Level 2 and
    3).
  • Communicate service activities and relevant information to the customer and service manager through daily service reports, forms, email, and telephone communication (Level
    2).
  • Support varied activities with simultaneous projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment (Level
    2).
  • Use specialized expertise and ingenuity to develop tailored solutions for customer issues (Level
    3).
  • Rebuild complete components to OEM specifications in the service shop (Level
    3).
  • Provide subject‑matter‑expert support for other technicians, including training and development (Level
    3).
Qualifications
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Epiroc equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and good work ethic.
  • Ability to read basic hydraulic and 24‑volt schematics.
  • Own hand tools and ability to expand inventory by purchasing additional tools as required.
  • Completion of TL1 and TL2 training and Safe Start Modules 1‑5 within the first year of employment.
  • Required US Department of Labor Mine Safety & Health Administration training certificates, or agreement to complete training program(s) to obtain certificates by the required date.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record; ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) if required to operate a commercial vehicle exceeding 26,001 pounds. Must be 18+ for intrastate, 21+ for interstate operation.
  • Travel required.
  • Level 1 – Minimum of a certificate of completion from a technical or trade school, or 2–5 years of relevant experience; TL1 and TL2 within 3–6 months of hire (Level 2 requirement). Level determined by experience.
  • Level 2 – Minimum of a certificate of completion from a technical or trade school, or 5+ years of relevant experience; TL1 and TL2 within 1 month of hire (Level 3 requirement).

Salary Range

Hourly rate:
Level 1 – $30.00–$45.00;
Level 2 – $35.00–$52.00;
Level 3 – $46.00–$69.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
