Certified Millwright- Elko

Are you a skilled Certified Millwright with a knack for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues? Do you value safety and sustainability as top priorities? If so, we have an exciting opportunity that might just be your calling.

We’re seeking a Certified Millwright for our Elko, BC sawmill, where you can utilize your Red Seal technical expertise, communication skills, and troubleshooting abilities to keep our modern sawmill operating at peak performance.

• Working with a high-performance team dedicated to maintaining all mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings, and pneumatic systems involved in the manufacturing process.
• Keeping our systems running smoothly by performing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance, which involves inspecting machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Working under pressure, with effective time management and careful assessment when to assemble, move, replace, or dismantle machinery.
• Applying your knowledge, skills, and experience to troubleshoot issues, enhance equipment reliability, and implement protected, reliable fixes to keep the mill running.
• Paying great attention to detail to identify and request relevant parts for timely repairs.
• Assisting in creating a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and site visitors.

• Hold a Red Seal Certification.
• Have the physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrate a high degree of urgency.
• Have knowledge of the lumber or industrial manufacturing process (an asset).
• Possess experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability (an asset).
