Goldstrike - Underground Fixed Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Underground Fixed Maintenance Technician to join our team at Goldstrike underground operations. The role requires a background in underground mining, maintenance, and metals, and a commitment to a safe work environment.

• Reporting to the Underground Fixed Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of surface and underground fixed mining equipment such as crushers, conveyors, concrete mixing systems, pumps, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Basic knowledge of conveyor systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all pumps.
• Basic fabrication skills (welding, cutting, brazing, arc welding, air arc).
• Ability to identify parts needed for repairs by make, model, size, and type.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics; ability to troubleshoot and repair such systems.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring tools, torque wrenches, and hand tools.
• Excellent safety and attendance record.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
