This is a full-time, on‑site Underground Miner role based in Elko, NV. The Underground Miner is responsible for performing safe and efficient underground mining activities, including drilling, blasting, mucking, ground support installation, and operation of underground mobile equipment. Daily tasks include following detailed work plans, adhering to mine plans and layout, conducting pre‑operational inspections, and reporting hazards or maintenance needs. The role requires strict compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, as well as participation in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
Underground Miners collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and crew members to achieve production targets, support development projects, and maintain clean, organized work areas in challenging underground conditions.
- Experience with underground mining operations, including drilling, blasting, mucking, and ground support installation.
- Ability to safely operate underground mobile equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, bolters, and utility vehicles.
- Strong understanding of mine safety practices, hazard recognition, and compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions, including lifting and manual labor.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and crew members.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for identifying equipment issues and performing routine checks or minor adjustments.
- Previous underground mining or heavy industrial experience preferred; relevant certifications or mine safety training are an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; willingness to complete company‑provided training and continuous skill development.
