Elko Overhead Door is seeking a Garage Door Tech to join our onsite team in Elko, NV.
Position SummaryAs a Garage Door Tech, you will install, service, and repair residential and commercial garage door systems, ensuring safe, reliable operation for every customer. You’ll bring strong mechanical skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly the first time and values professionalism on every job site.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain garage doors and related components to ensure proper function and safety
- Diagnose problems by inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and operational issues
- Perform adjustments, lubrication, and alignment to restore performance and smooth operation
- Interpret service needs clearly and recommend appropriate solutions to customers
- Complete job documentation accurately and maintain company standards for tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams, instructions, and measurements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with safe working practices and attention to detail
- Willingness to work onsite in Elko, NV and support a full-time schedule
- Professional communication skills with customers and team members
- Experience with overhead door installation and service for residential or commercial properties
- Familiarity with common garage door hardware, springs, openers, and operational troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently while following safety procedures and company guidelines
Hourly rate: $22.00 - $30.00
