ProjectObjective
The goal of the project is to help collect images of streets, main points of interest and public areas in the USA. The project is performed on cars with 360 cameras mounted on top that image the area around the vehicle and store those images on computers inside the vehicle. Later, this data will be used to enhance one of the most popular online maps in the world.
The data collectors will be given specific routes around public streets and areas, specifically targeting commercial districts and historical sites. Due to poor weather conditions some areas will be visited multiple times in order to collect the best quality of imaging. The project is expected to last from 3 to 6 months and will cover different data collection areas.
Responsibilities- Drive a vehicle equipped with 360 cameras.
- Follow assigned routes to capture images of streets and public areas.
- Make multiple passes in limited weather to achieve best quality.
- Operate cameras, record data, and ensure image quality.
- Adhere to the schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week; possible weekend downtime.
- Must have a valid Driver Licence.
- Good driving skills and a clean driving record.
- General car knowledge would be a plus.
- Enjoys driving within standard business hours.
- Available for a minimum of 3 months.
- Must have private monitored parking space for corporate vehicle.
- Great communication and reporting skills.
- Tech savvy – use Gmail, Google Forms and Google Meet.
- High level of responsibility.
- Self‑motivated and detail oriented.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check (criminal and driving record).
