Responsibilities
Deliver gasoline and other petroleum products safely to Rebel Oil Company customer locations, including commercial tanks at convenience store and gas station locations owned and operated by Rebel Oil Company clients.
Transport and load products at the local Rebel Oil Company Terminal, including using the elevated loading arm, attaching to truck, applying downward pressure, unloading products, draining hoses, stowing hoses and buckets, and occasionally climbing the truck’s ladder.
Handle product lifts and physical demands: loading arm requiring 15-20 pounds pressure; handling tanks requiring bending, raising lids, placing fittings, connecting hoses weighing 15 pounds each; draining hose that may weigh up to 40 pounds; and handling 5-40 pound buckets at waist level. Mandatory safety responsibilities include keeping the hose elevated when draining and staying safe around heavy equipment.
Maintain all required safety procedures, comply with applicable regulations, and manage driver logs.
Requirements- Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker, Hazmat, General Knowledge and Air Brakes endorsements.
- Valid English reading and writing ability and basic math skills for delivery manifests.
- Physical fitness to lift and maneuver loads up to 40 pounds, and reach heights up to 10 feet.
- Drive defensively and follow all applicable laws and regulations to maintain ROC’s reputation.
- Drive ROC trucks to load and deliver fuel and commodities; ROC operates 24/7/365.
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, local, and company rules regarding safe operation of hazardous cargo tank motor vehicles.
- Maintain knowledge of proper loading/unloading methods for various cargos.
- Maintain contact with logistics, complete electronic logs and documentation, follow ROC guidelines regarding professional conduct.
- Follow all ROC guidelines when interacting with customers, employees, vendors, and the public.
- Commercial Driver’s License and required endorsements (Haz Mat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples) and state requirements.
- Medical Examiner’s Certificate per 49 CFR, Section of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- At least 2 years of verifiable hazmat driving experience (may be required).
- Knowledge of all applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
