Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Geology Core Shed Technician at our Cortez operations. • Demonstrate safety leadership and safety consciousness
• Task train coworkers in the safe and efficient use of equipment
• Manage the sample inventory and related warehouse material safely, without damage to people, property, or process
• Make accurate records of new materials placed into storage; maintain understanding of storage locations
• Complete periodic daily workplace inspections and correct problems within one’s capabilities
• Accurately photograph drill core ensuring natural colors and minimal distortion
• Ensure timely shipments to laboratories and accurately complete required forms
• Demonstrate knowledge of state‑wide warehouse locations and ability to travel between sites safely, while adhering to site safety and protocols
• Identify naming and numbering errors in sample handling procedures
• Read and understand material retrieval requests, collect materials, and ship accordingly

• Knowledge and understanding of basic Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of safety and environmental policies and practices, and willingness to develop related skill sets
• Maintain a valid state driver’s license for light vehicles and ability to operate light vehicles safely and effectively
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities
• Effective organizational and communication skills
• Basic math skills
