Scaffold Construction Supervisor
Design, supervise, and manage scaffold erection and dismantlement operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project schedules.
Job Description SummaryYou will design various types of scaffolds, order materials, document deliveries, and supervise up to three Scaffold Erectors. The role includes mentoring carpenters, serving as OSHA competent person, and maintaining project timelines.
Responsibilities- Design and scaffold design documents
- Order and coordinate scaffold materials
- Prepare and maintain delivery/pick‑up tickets, time sheets, extra work authorizations, safety plans, JSA’s, and scaffold inspection checklists
- Act as mentor and coach to Scaffold E & D Lead Carpenters
- Supervise up to three Scaffold Erectors for erection and dismantling of scaffolds without direct supervision of the Construction Manager
- Serve as competent person on site per OSHA and company procedures
- Manage project scheduling, cost control, customer communication, and problem resolution
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years combined experience as Scaffold Erector and/or Supervisor (or equivalent)
- Trade school experience preferred (not required)
- Valid driver's license
- Project management skills (time and schedule management, cost control, customer communication)
- Ability to work safely at considerable heights
- Bilingual language skills a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA scaffolding regulations
- Understanding of scaffold materials and load limits
- Scaffold Safety Orientation
- Supported Scaffold Builder 1 (SBU online)
- Supported Scaffold Builder 1.5 (STI online, where applicable)
Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 40 pounds or more; works indoors and outdoors as required.
CompensationBase Pay Range: $23.52 – $29.40 per hour. Starting rate varies by position, location, education, training, and experience.
