Tarbiyah Academy is seeking a nurturing, skilled, and mission-aligned Preschool Teacher to deliver a developmentally rich early childhood program within a holistic Islamic educational framework.
As a Preschool Teacher, you are responsible for cultivating a classroom environment that is warm, wonder-filled, and intentionally designed for young learners. You will support children's earliest academic, social-emotional, and spiritual foundations through play-based and inquiry-inspired learning.

Pedagogy & Instructional ExcellenceThe Preschool Teacher is expected to:
- Design and deliver developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences grounded in early childhood best practices
- Integrate Islamic values and character education authentically into daily routines, transitions, and instruction
- Cultivate children's curiosity, language development, early literacy, and numeracy skills
- Use formative observation and documentation to guide instruction and communicate student growth
- Provide a structured yet flexible learning environment that balances routine with exploration
- Engage families as partners in their child's early learning journey
- Collaboratively plan with grade-level and vertical teams to ensure coherence and progression
- Create a joyful, emotionally safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Support children's social-emotional growth, self-regulation, and early character development
- Implement positive guidance strategies aligned with school expectations
- Foster belonging, dignity, and a deep sense of security within the classroom community
- Maintain organized, print-rich, and engaging classroom environments that invite independent exploration
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families through proactive and warm communication
- Share regular documentation of student growth and learning milestones
- Partner with parents to support each child's development holistically
- Actively participate in collaborative planning and professional learning communities
- Engage in early childhood and IB-aligned professional development
- Contribute to accreditation and authorization processes as applicable
- Seek continuous improvement in instructional practice
- Offer at least one extracurricular activity per week
- Participate in school events, field trips, and co-curricular responsibilities

Salary placement is determined by full-time teaching experience, state certification status, and highest degree earned (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate).
Minimum QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) from an accredited U.S. university
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Strong command of English
Preferred:
- State certification in Early Childhood Education
- Experience in IB Primary Years Programme (Early Years)
- Experience in independent or Islamic schools
