Starting Compensation Range: $43.61 – $54.82 per hour

The EPG Training Instructor is responsible for organizing, conducting, and evaluating technical training courses and projects for employees, primarily focusing on power systems and generator content.

• Strong understanding of power generation principles, load calculations, and system troubleshooting
• Proficiency in electrical system design software and tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
• Excellent driving record
• Ability to travel with overnight travel, required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related program software

• Formal training related to electric power generation, preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ diesel engine, electrical and/or power generation experience, required
• Experience with Caterpillar engines used for power generation products, preferred
• Proven expertise in operating and maintaining electric power systems, including generators, transformers, and switch gear, preferred
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as IEEE, NFPA, and NEC (National Electric Code)
• Experience presenting material in an engaging manner, preferred but training will be provided

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus

Actual base pay may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations. In addition to base pay, the compensation package may include participation in performance-based incentive programs and overtime eligibility depending on the role.
