Job Description Summary
We are looking for a Project Engineer 2 for our Trench & Shoring Division of Sunbelt Rentals located in Elkridge, MD.
Position Responsibilities- Prepares calculations and drawings under the direction of a professional engineer
- Creates drawings in support of Sunbelt equipment
- Analyzes reports, project construction drawings, maps, testing data, topographical and geologic data to determine design parameters
- Interacts with customers, sales, and operations
- May be required to attend meetings or job sites with customers or sales/operations staff
- Other duties as assigned
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in structural or geotechnical engineering, from an accredited four (4) year university or college
- 5+ years’ experience in engineering design, preferably structural engineering.
- Geotechnical knowledge a plus.
- Familiarity with structural analysis, mechanics of materials, and soil analysis.
- PE license highly desirable, or ability to obtain license in near future.
- Lacking a PE, then an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate highly desirable.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Mathcad, and AutoCAD or REVIT
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Base Pay Range: $81,951.
