Salary Range: $118,000 – $142,000 / year (dependent on experience, education, and skill set)
About the RoleSeeking an experienced Scheduler 3 to support a defense and secure technology program in Elkridge, MD.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain detailed, resource-loaded schedules for complex implementation, developmental, and operational systems. You will collaborate directly with cross-functional technical teams, integrating individual project schedules into an overarching Master Program Schedule and aligning them with Integrated Master Plans (IMPs).
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain detailed resource-loaded schedules and Master Program Schedules using MS Project, Primavera, or program-mandated software.
Link project schedules with overarching programs, Investment Portfolios, functional areas, and IMPs, tracking critical milestones, linkages, and dependencies.
Define and implement schedule configuration, management, and version-control processes, policies, and procedures.
Maintain the schedule build environment across staging, testing, deployment, and integration phases, including developing product build scripts.
Facilitate weekly scheduling meetings with project leadership and operational teams.
Coordinate cross-walks of milestones and interdependencies across functional areas such as engineering, manufacturing, testing, and quality control.
Provide strategic recommendations to Program Managers regarding the allocation of management reserves to mitigate resource and schedule constraints.
Required Qualifications & ExperienceSecurity Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Experience: 12 years of scheduling experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Education Substitution: A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience (10 years required). 4 additional years of scheduling experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree (16 years total without a degree).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited institution.
Technical
Experience:
At least 2 years of demonstrated experience managing schedules for engineering programs involving hardware and software development and multiple sub‑components.
Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated hands‑on expertise with MS Project or Primavera, including the successful completion of advanced‑level coursework in either tool.
Preferred QualificationsAssociation for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) certification.
Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification.
