The Production Supervisor role directly contributes to that mission and will require a person with a diversified skill set who is flexible and able to prioritize workloads and direct staff in a rapidly changing environment. This position is for a hands-on leader with a strong work ethic and broad technical and administrative experience in a manufacturing environment. This person will need to utilize critical thinking, problem solving skills, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and/or monitor the production activities of employees.
- Oversee the successful manufacturing of complex robotic systems as well as integrated mission systems in a fast paced, low volume/high mix manufacturing environment.
- Manage and motivate production staff while meeting safety, cost, delivery, and quality expectations for the business.
- Provide daily directions for production staff and act as a liaison between departments to communicate and eliminate productivity roadblocks.
- Daily interaction with Engineering department to discuss/resolve production or quality concerns.
- Attend and participate in meetings with senior leadership as required.
- Manage production staff through communication of job expectations, planning, monitoring, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and providing performance evaluations.
