Shift: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM; 2nd

Shift: 3:00 PM-12:30 AM
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

The Packing & Shipping Operator supports manufacturing and shipping operations by safely packaging, preparing, documenting, and processing materials for domestic and international shipment. This hands-on role involves building and customizing packaging, using hand and power tools, preparing shipping documentation, and handling materials in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The ideal candidate has experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, packaging, manufacturing, construction, material handling, or another hands-on environment.

• Package parts and materials according to established commercial and military packaging requirements.
• Build and customize packaging using hand and power tools.
• Measure, cut, and assemble packaging materials according to required specifications.
• Prepare packages with appropriate markings, labels, and shipping documentation.
• Process deliveries and maintain accurate shipping records using computerized systems.
• Support domestic, international, commercial, and government shipments.
• Safely move, handle, and stage materials within manufacturing and warehouse areas.
• Maintain accurate records and follow established safety, quality, and shipping procedures.
• Collaborate with shipping, production, warehouse, and other operational teams.

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, packaging, crating, material handling, manufacturing, construction, or a similar hands-on environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using common hand tools such as drills, wrenches, box cutters, and hammers.
• Ability to measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. independently and participate in team lifts of heavier materials.
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability and willingness to obtain required forklift, crane, power-tool, DOT/IATA HAZMAT, and safety certifications.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Elkridge, MD.

• Experience with warehouse, shipping and receiving, crating, packing, forklift operation, manufacturing, or military packaging.
• Experience with MIL-STD-2073 or similar military packaging standards.
• Experience with palletizing, material handling, shipping systems, or HAZMAT procedures.
• Experience working with commercial, government, or international shipments.
