Position: Sales Performance Manager North America

Sales Performance Manager The Sales Performance Manager (SPM) drives sales effectiveness and profitable growth across North America by owning and operating the region's sales management and steering system. Working closely with sales leadership, the SPM runs the performance‑management cadence, leads target setting and the goal cascade down to the Sales Engineer, and maintains the data, analytics, and tools (CRM, CPQ) that turn sales strategy into disciplined execution.

The SPM acts as a liaison across functions and with HQ to ensure consistent alignment, reliable reporting, and continuous optimization of commercial performance.

What you'll do on a typical day
  • Own and run the sales performance‑management cycle: dashboards, scorecards, and the regular performance‑review cadence that holds the sales organization accountable to targets.
  • Lead target setting and the goal cascade, translating regional revenue and margin objectives into measurable targets down to individual Sales team members.
  • Manage all sales‑related tools (CRM, CPQ, and analytics/BI) and drive their adoption, data quality, and optimization to enhance sales steering and productivity.
  • Regularly evaluate performance against targets and identify areas for optimization.
  • Conduct opportunity assessments, ideation, and concept development for future opportunities; devise innovative approaches that align with company goals and market demands.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor strategies to inform sales strategies.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize sales operations, including implementing new strategies and processes, to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement processes to measure the impact of sales initiatives, assess accountability, and inform future strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create effective alignment and synergy across departments.
  • Collaborate with PERI Academy on training and development programs for sales teams.
What you'll need to be successful
  • Strategic thinker:
    Anticipates future scenarios and plans to achieve long‑term goals by focusing on setting objectives, developing plans, and considering the broader impact of decisions.
  • Sales process and construction industry knowledge:
    Advanced understanding of sales process, scaffolding construction project life cycles, and the B2B business environment, including end‑to‑end sales process and customer lifecycle.
  • People skills:
    Effectively and harmoniously interacts with others; includes self‑awareness, self‑confidence, self‑management, social awareness, active listening, conflict management, empathy, relationship management, emotional intelligence, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team player.
  • Post‑secondary degree in Finance/Economics, Data Analytics/Statistics, Marketing, Business, or a comparable field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to innovative technology/software.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales analytics experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of construction experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales experience or experience working with sales teams.
  • Advanced CRM, BI (e.g., Power BI), and MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
