Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules and OSHA regulations established by Cleveland Construction Inc.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site environment.
- Seal joints between plasterboard and other wallboards.
- Apply joint tape and finishing materials over seams.
- Fill cracks and holes with compound to achieve smooth surfaces.
- Mix joint compound to proper consistency for application.
- Sand rough areas and prepare surfaces for final finish.
- Apply textures and finishes according to project specifications.
- Inspect completed surfaces to ensure they meet commercial quality standards.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and job site safety discussions.
- Inspect tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- 3+ years of drywall finishing experience preferred (minimum 1 year required).
- Experience operating a variety of power and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow OSHA safety standards on commercial job sites.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to assigned project locations.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Employment eligibility verification (E-Verify compliant).
- Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
- Ability to access all areas of a job site including stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces.
- Capable of kneeling, bending, squatting, standing, and twisting for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 85 pounds.
- $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
