Carpenter/Installer Elkridge, MD
We are seeking experienced finish Carpenter/Installer for a growing specialty construction company who works within Baltimore, DC, and Northern VA area. They are a family-owned business who has been in business for 35+ years. They install aesthetically pleasing acoustical wall panels, acoustical beams (cloth and leather), acoustic-wrapped ductwork, etc., within schools, business offices, factories, healthcare, churches, higher education, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Lead Carpenter/Installer to determine the best work sequences for each phase of the project to ensure successful completion to client's satisfaction.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Keep detailed notes of all work that is done and report progress to superiors.
- Ensure materials are onsite.
- Responsible for on-site end of day procedures, such as clean up, protection and security of all job materials and tools.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing (OSHA) standards and procedures complying with legal regulations.
- Interact positively with other team members and trades to ensure site collaboration is good.
- You will be responsible for ensuring customer and company satisfaction with your professional appearance, expertise in workmanship and good communication skills.
- Must have basic hand and power tools.
- Traveling throughout all parts of Maryland, Northern VA and Washington D.C.
Requirements:
- 1-5 years' experience as a finish carpenter in the construction industry
- Be able to read, interpret, and work from sketches, drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Safely operate tools and machines of the carpentry trade.
- Safely lift and carry heavy tools and materials (minimum 50lbs).
- Safely climb ladders and work at height.
- The ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Understand plumb, square, and level (they must be second nature to you).
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record as well as reliable transportation is required.
- All applicants will be subject to a Background check and drug testing.
This position is offering an hourly wage of $22.00 - $28.00 (based on experience) and includes health, dental and vision insurance (50% - 70% employeer paid), PTO, 401(k) with a 4% company match, paid federal holidays, and more.
