The Commercial Refrigeration Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing commercial refrigeration and food service equipment at customer locations. This position supports commercial kitchen operations by ensuring refrigeration systems and related equipment are operating efficiently and safely.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment including walk‑in coolers/freezers, reach‑ins, ice machines, prep tables, and related systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and routine service.
• Install and replace refrigeration components and equipment as required.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Test refrigeration systems, identify issues, and complete necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with EPA regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding service findings and recommendations.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
• Participate in after‑hours or on‑call service rotation as required.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA Certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial refrigeration service experience preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively.

• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

The advertised pay range for this position is $35-$50 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced expertise in both commercial hot‑side and cold‑side equipment may be considered toward the higher end of the range.
