Job Description
Hourly base pay rate is $18.22 - $27.36 per hour. Must work at a specified Cox location; no remote option.
This position generates accurate and timely estimates for reconditioning services offered to all internal and external auction customers.
Responsibilities- Clearly and accurately create vehicle repair estimates based on damages, paint, color match, and blending procedures.
- Utilize estimating tools to provide an accurate estimate.
- Document damages in the estimating tool to provide visibility to the client.
- Adhere to all company safety standards and report any unsafe conditions through appropriate channels.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- 1+ years of auto experience.
- Provide accurate reconditioning estimates for mechanical and body services.
- Work with multiple vendors to locate parts that best fit our clients’ needs based on pricing and time frames.
- Work with Procurement/Purchasing staff to ensure accurate pricing of parts and supplies required for estimates.
- Monitor repair status, completion timelines, and customer communications related to approved reconditioning estimates as directed by management.
- Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
- Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, independently.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Vision abilities required: close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regular exposure to weather conditions, fumes, and noise.

To be employed in this role, a candidate must clear a pre‑employment drug test. Cox does not currently administer a marijuana test for this position, but the company is a drug‑free workplace; possession, use, or being under the influence of illegal drugs during work hours, on company property, or in company vehicles is prohibited.
- Minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
