Job Title

Software Technical Instructor

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Software Instructor to join our Technical Data Training department. You will work in a dynamic team environment alongside design software and hardware logistics, reliability, and human factors engineers, as well as program leadership. Your role will be to develop a software training program to teach international customers how to design, program, patch, compile, and test software for integration into the COBRA Command and Control Center.

This position is located on-site at the Troy Hill campus in Elkridge, Maryland.

Responsibilities
  • Train personnel to identify, troubleshoot, and remediate software issues.
  • Collaborate with software programmers and test and integration teams to design, code, test, and integrate software updates for the COBRA Command and Control Center.
  • Support the development, installation, integration, and testing of software updates for customer delivery.
  • Become a subject matter expert capable of performing skills gap analysis and planning, developing, and implementing a series of courses to teach customer personnel how to code and test software updates and scripts.
  • Communicate project status to the COBRA Command and Control Center Training IPT Lead.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in C, C , and technical training.
  • Experience in instructional system design (ISD) with the ADDIE methodology.
  • 10 years of experience in software development (5 years with a Master’s degree).
  • Experience in two of the following languages: C , C, HTML/XML.
  • Experience with Linux Operating Systems such as Redhat, Alma Linux, Windows Powershell, or OpenVMS DCL.
  • Strong understanding of structured programming techniques.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
  • Certified Military Navy Army USAF Instructor with programming experience.
  • Experience in programming, testing, and integrating software for military systems.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position following a 9/80 schedule. You will be part of a team dedicated to training the next generation of programmers to upgrade major foreign command and control systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Elkridge, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 – $80.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
