Receiving Clerk
DEPARTMENT:
Operations/Receiving
REPORTS TO:
Warehouse Manager & Receiving Lead
SHIFT: 11pm - 7:30am
Position SummaryThis position is responsible for the efficient completion of the Receiving process through both manual paperwork and computer methods as well as being able to assist in all Receiving operations in the warehouse.
Regular Assigned Duties and Responsibilities- Knowledge of company Receiving Procedures and Guidelines.
- Ensures all Receiving paperwork, documentation and logs are done per company policies.
- Inputs all necessary Receiving data into the Seasoft system and any related computer files including calculation of freight costs and price adjustments.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support any area within the department in normal operations, including unloading trucks, accepting, and signing for product, performing quality checks, re-icing product and internal transfer of product if necessary.
- Works with Finance & Administration departments in reconciling any discrepancies in Receiving paperwork or computer software input.
- Work with Receiving Lead and Warehouse Manager to notify Purchasing Department of pertinent issues regarding product amounts, quality, price, etc.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete projects as assigned
- Fill in various Warehouse positions when staffing is short.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- One to three years of progressively responsible, related experience in a position of comparable scope and size to the Company.
- Able to learn Sea Soft software package.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Necessary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have prior experience in a warehouse environment along with the operation of warehouse equipment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Pay close attention to detail.
- Good verbal and communication skills.
- Able to work well within a team environment.
- Able to recognize and correct errors and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
