Job Details
  • Location: Cecil County, MD (Elkton)
  • Hours per week: 35 hours (7‑hour days, 30‑minute unpaid lunch)
  • Contract dates: 2026‑2027 school year
  • Employment type: Full or Part‑time
Requirements
  • School Psychologist State Certification
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify students’ cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Develop and support the implementation of individualized, evidence‑based interventions that promote academic success and emotional well‑being.
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to help students manage challenges and build coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate psychological and behavioral supports into the educational environment.
  • Participate in IEP and other multidisciplinary team meetings, providing clear reports, recommendations, and updates on student progress.
  • Monitor and evaluate student outcomes, adjusting interventions as needed in collaboration with the educational team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including assessment reports, intervention plans, and compliance records.
  • Stay current with best practices in school psychology through ongoing professional development and research.
