Special Education Teacher

Neuro Restorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide individualized educational services in a supportive, collaborative environment while working alongside an interdisciplinary team focused on student success.

• Deliver on-site and alternative educational services to adolescent program participants in a cognitive retraining and rehabilitation setting.

• Collaborate with the cognitive and interdisciplinary teams to implement educational strategies that support student progress.

• Participate in weekly clinical team meetings to coordinate care and educational goals.

• Develop, implement, and enhance curriculum to meet individual student needs.

• Monitor and evaluate student progress using appropriate assessment methods.

• Meet regularly with students and families to provide guidance, address concerns, and support academic success.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including service summaries, reports, and required billing documentation.

• Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment by implementing established policies and procedures.

• Attend required trainings and maintain compliance with organizational standards.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, schools, families, and community partners.

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Special Education preferred).

• At least one year of classroom or tutoring experience; experience working with students with special needs is strongly preferred.

• Strong judgment, professionalism, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
