As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide individualized educational services in a supportive, collaborative environment while working alongside an interdisciplinary team focused on student success.
What You'll DoDeliver on-site and alternative educational services to adolescent program participants in a cognitive retraining and rehabilitation setting.
Collaborate with the cognitive and interdisciplinary teams to implement educational strategies that support student progress.
Participate in weekly clinical team meetings to coordinate care and educational goals.
Develop, implement, and enhance curriculum to meet individual student needs.
Monitor and evaluate student progress using appropriate assessment methods.
Meet regularly with students and families to provide guidance, address concerns, and support academic success.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including service summaries, reports, and required billing documentation.
Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment by implementing established policies and procedures.
Attend required trainings and maintain compliance with organizational standards.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, schools, families, and community partners.
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Special Education preferred).
At least one year of classroom or tutoring experience; experience working with students with special needs is strongly preferred.
Strong judgment, professionalism, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
