Job Details
Christiana Care is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Environmental Services Assistant I to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff at the Union Campus.
Location: Union Campus
Shift: Evening; 3:00PM-11:30PM
Schedule: Every other weekend & holiday rotation required
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, and common areas following infection control protocols.
- Maintain carts and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Restock supplies such as paper products and soap throughout the facility.
- Safely remove trash, soiled linens, and used equipment from designated areas.
- Respond promptly to Environmental Services calls and texts using provided smart devices.
- Report maintenance issues and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Attend regular training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Uphold a courteous and helpful attitude throughout your shift.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Two years of customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and confidentiality.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift.
- Comfort using smart devices for work assignments.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases (with proper precautions).
- Safety glasses required at all times.

This position has a starting rate of $17.32 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour.
This pay rate/range represents Christiana Care’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
