The Utility I position is a very flexible entry‑level position that is utilized in several departments throughout the TMC Elkton manufacturing site. While this is the first step in the hierarchy of hourly manufacturing positions, attention to detail and adherence to SOPs, CGMPs, and GDPs are just as critical to patient safety as they are to success in more advanced positions.
Responsibilities- Follow requirements of applicable national and international regulations.
- Closely adhere to all safety requirements.
- Representative operations performed by a Utility I include (but are not limited to):
- Cutting & Washing
- Rodding / De Rodding
- Sheath Tip Forming & Inspection
- Dilator Tip Forming
- Silicon Application
- Hand Assembly
- Inflate / Deflate (leak testing)
- RF Welding (PVC welding)
- Tube or Valve Bonding (gluing)
- Curvature Insertion
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices.
- Participate in project performance team meetings on behalf of the job unit to provide ideas, methods, or processes for unit/company performance improvement.
- Follow requirements of the TMC Quality System, including process controls, inspection procedures, document/data control, and change control practices.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Pay for this position is $18.92 per hour (includes a 10% shift differential).
