Our client is seeking an experienced Welder / Pipefitter for a contract assignment beginning in September and going through the end of 2026 (possibly longer). This position will be supporting ongoing industrial fabrication projects. This role is ideal for a senior-level tradesperson with extensive experience fitting and welding stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, produce high-quality welds, and contribute to project deadlines in a safe, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
-Fabricate, fit, and install stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems.
-Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel materials.
-Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings.
-Measure, cut, bevel, and prepare pipe for assembly and welding.
-Assemble piping systems, valves, flanges, supports, and related components.
-Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
-Operate fabrication equipment, grinders, saws, and other shop tools safely and efficiently.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety procedures.
-Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule.

Requirements:
-7+ years of experience as a Welder/Pipefitter in an industrial, manufacturing, or process piping environment.
-experience welding stainless steel and carbon steel.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, piping drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication prints.
-Experience fabricating and fitting piping systems with minimal supervision.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
-Ability to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) on a consistent basis.
