Opportunity Highlights

Schedule:

10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Monday through Thursday;
No OT, Call, Weekends, or Holidays
Duration: 16+ weeks
Job Setting:
Hospital - 9 Anesthesia Rooms (3 utilized at a time across 9 total sites);
Charting via Epic
Types of Cases:
Urology, Orthopedic, General Surgery, Gynecology, ENT, Pediatrics, Vascular, Endoscopy
MD Supervision:
Yes - MDs supervising CRNAs at a 1:2 ratio; MDs also performing their own cases
Responsibilities:
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Credentialing:
Estimated privileging timeframe 60 days;
Accelerated/Temporary privileges available (30-60 days)

Minimum Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible:
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, PALS
Licensure:
Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse;
Maryland state license required (candidates needing to obtain state license will be considered)

Education:

Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
