Christina Care, Union Hospital has been serving the Elkton, MD, community for 110 years. This 75-bed nonprofit community hospital is based in Elkton, MD. Case Assignments include general surgery, urology, and endo. Shifts are 8's and 10's with no call.

Team Leadership is provided by Cecilia Carroll, CRNA. The care team model focuses on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Requirements include a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.

Elkton, MD, is a suburb in Cecil County, MD, located between Baltimore, MD, and Delaware.
