Experienced Officer Who Has Worked at a Distribution Center with Access Control, Checking Trucks In and Out, and Site Monitoring Is Preferred Requirements
- An active Maryland State Police Guard Card
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years
- Legal work status in the U.S.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Reliable and functional transportation (public transportation is not acceptable)
- Ownership of a cell phone for contact by Operations Supervisors
- Ability to pass a criminal background check with no felony arrests or convictions
- Ability to perform duties as stated in post orders, which may include standing/walking for extended periods or lifting
- Familiarity with mobile technology (tablets, smartphones, etc.)
- Possession of a valid full driver’s license (public transportation is not acceptable)
- Maintain a daily log of all activities during your assigned shift at your assigned post
- Document all incidents occurring during your assigned shift in a detailed incident report
- Conduct walking/vehicular patrols throughout your shift
- Enforce customer rules in a professional and courteous manner
- Arrive on time and in proper uniform at your assigned post
- Ability to interact and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to assess and evaluate emergencies effectively
- Ability to quickly and accurately identify critical issues and respond appropriately
