Warehouse Material Handler

Position Description

Material Handler – Port Deposit, Maryland. The role requires operating a forklift, assisting with loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting. Working third shift, Thursday‑Saturday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am and every other Wednesday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am.

• Hourly Pay: $22.50 per hour ($21.50 base + $1.00 shift differential)
• Schedule:
  
  Third Shift Thursday‑Saturday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am; alternate Wednesday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am.

• Products handled:
  Retail items.
• Equipment used:
  Cherry pickers, order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accurate picking and packing, audit, tote induction, staging of products, loading/unloading of trucks.
• Process day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour of production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• At least one year of related warehouse/IC truck experience (preferred).
• Valid forklift operator’s license (certified).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Team player in a diverse environment.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships across all levels (peers, supervisors, etc.).
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Good attendance record, punctuality.
• Can work independently with minimal supervision.
• High initiative.
• High accuracy, even under pressure.
• Capacity to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Familiarity with health and safety methods.
• Flexible schedule availability across shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
