Receiving Forklift Operator

PFG Customized is seeking a Receiving Forklift Operator to support our high-volume food service distribution center. In this role, you will safely operate forklifts to unload inbound trailers, verify and inspect products, and accurately record receipts in our warehouse systems. You'll stage and store pallets in designated locations while upholding strict food safety and quality standards. Working in a fast-paced, safety-driven culture, you'll collaborate closely with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure on-time, accurate receiving that supports national restaurant and retail customers and long-term operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to safely unload inbound trailers and containers
• Receive, verify, and inspect incoming pallets against bills of lading and purchase orders
• Scan, label, and record product accurately in the warehouse management system
• Stage and move product to designated storage locations while maintaining product integrity
• Follow strict food safety, quality, and cold chain handling procedures
• Perform daily equipment inspections and follow all safety and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain clean, organized dock and storage areas to support efficient operations
• Communicate discrepancies, damages, and inventory issues to supervisors promptly
• Work collaboratively with warehouse, inventory, and transportation teams to meet service goals
