Location & EmploymentLeeds, United Kingdom. Permanent, full‑time, forty‑hour week covering campus operating hours Monday to Sunday, 7:00 am to 9:30 pm, with occasional out‑of‑hours work to minimise disruption.
Job SummaryThe Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will maintain, install, and refurbish fabric and equipment across the GBS UK estates portfolio. The role involves monitoring building condition, undertaking repairs and renovations, assisting Estates and Facilities in refurbishment planning, and may require travel to other GBS UK campuses.
Responsibilities- Preventative and reactive maintenance of buildings and equipment
- Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards
- Document and manage inventory of maintenance supplies
- Lead refurbishment and fit‑out projects
- Maintain flexibility and travel between campuses as required
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- City & Guilds Level 2 and/or Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent NVQ, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in building maintenance including M&E systems
- Manual skills and knowledge of refurbishment techniques
- Proactive, flexible approach with a “can‑do” attitude
- Familiarity with COSHH requirements for equipment and chemicals
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a wider facilities team
- Full, clean driving licence
- 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays
