Job Summary
The Physical Education, School Health and Movement Studies department at CWU is accepting applications to fill current and future full-time, part-time, quarterly and annual appointment lecturer positions to teach classes in the courses/subject areas listed below. This list is not all-inclusive: other courses/subject areas may become available within the department.
* Physical Education and School Health K-12 Elementary and Secondary classes.
* Various coaching and athletic administration courses.
* Physical Activity and lifestyle wellness classes such as yoga, hiking/orienteering, fly fishing, aqua-conditioning/exercises, climbing, step, various dance types, kickboxing, weight training, karate, soccer, golf, basketball, softball, badminton, tennis, pickle ball, circus arts, conditioning, walking, jogging, Frisbee, self defense, rugby, triathlon, badminton, etc.
* Dance Program classes
* Public Health /Health Education classes
Minimum Qualifications
* Master's Degree or extensive experience in specific desired class content.
Preferred Qualifications
* Teaching experience in the k-12 school system
* Teaching experience at the University level
Pay & Work Schedule
Pay:
Based on the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The minimum remuneration for the non-tenure-track titles for the academic year will be as follows:
(a) Lecturer: $1,188 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $950 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.
(b) Senior Lecturer: $1,307 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $1,044 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.

Additional Information:
This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for positions in the department of Physical Education, School Health and Movement Studies through March 2026. There is a possibility that selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a quarter-by-quarter basis.
Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue as needed. The number of lecturer positions filled varies from quarter to quarter, depending upon the needs of the department. Positions typically start at the beginning of an academic quarter. Your application will be maintained in this pool for consideration through March 2026.
