Job Summary
CWU is accepting applications for individuals to perform work in Dining Services. These positions are designated as temporary/hourly positions.
For student employment opportunities please apply to the student Dining Services positions.
Positions may include:
* Cook Assistant
* Dietician
* Kitchen Assistant
* Server Assistant
* Other positions as needed

Minimum Qualifications
Each department will have individual required qualifications for specific jobs. However, in general dining jobs require:
* Prior experience in a food service environment
* Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler

Each department will have individual preferred qualifications for specific jobs.

This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for temporary/hourly dining positions through June 15, 2026. Selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill positions on an as-needed basis, however this posting does not imply that a position will be filled or any guarantee that applicants will be contacted.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a fast paced food service environment where there is typical stress associated with meeting service expectations and performing multiple tasks within established time standards. There is some exposure to hazardous equipment and products found in kitchen environments. Work will be performed around a variety of temperatures ranging from 0 degrees in a freezer to over 350 degrees around cooking equipment. Work requires standing on one's feet in a stationary position or walking around for up to seven to nine hours of the total work day after rest breaks and a meal period.
Additional physical requirements of the position include: pushing utility and hand carts with up to 150 lbs. of supplies around to various work stations; correctly lifting up to 35 lbs. individually from the floor or shelf locations to heights of 48" so products can be poured into smaller containers or put on work tables.
Benefits:
Student and Temporary/Hourly positions are eligible to accrue paid sick leave. This leave will accrue at one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours of work.
