Instrument Technician

We’re seeking a Survey Instrument Person to support field crews performing land surveying work throughout the Maryland area.

• Assist the Survey Party Chief with boundary, topographic, construction stakeout, and location surveys
• Set up and operate GPS/GNSS, data collectors, levels, total stations, and other survey equipment
• Establish survey control points and assist with construction staking
• Recover property corners and assist with boundary and easement surveys
• Maintain accurate field notes and survey data
• Assist the Party Chief with day-to-day field operations

• Previous land surveying or related field experience preferred
• Familiarity with survey equipment such as GPS/GNSS, total stations, and data collectors preferred
• Ability to read basic plans and follow field instructions
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work outdoors and perform the physical requirements of field surveying

$20–$30/hour, depending on experience.
