Part Time After School Art Instructor Howard

Kidz Art Central Maryland is looking for After School Art Instructors for the Howard County Area to join our amazing team! Don't miss out on this "ARTRAGEOUSLY" FUN opportunity!
This position is PART TIME! 6-10 hours a week! About 2 hours per day (Monday
- Friday). Must be available at least three days! Potential for additional hours during Schools Out Workshops and Summer Camps!
We are hiring RIGHT NOW! Interviews are being scheduled NOW. You would need to be available to train as soon as possible and begin teaching as soon as training is complete.

Kidz Art is a nationally recognized, drawing enrichment program (). This program is designed to provide guided drawing instruction, build self-confidence and inspire creativity! We are currently hiring for the  school year (6 - 11 hours PER WEEK).

• Must truly LOVE working with children (K-5th grade)
• Must be FUN and ENERGETIC, a "KID MAGNET"!
• Must have experience leading kids and excellent classroom management
• Must be able to maintain classroom, while directing a drawing (Firm, but FUN!)
• Must be available at least 3 days between the hours of 3:00pm and 5:30pm (times vary by school) Monday
  - Friday
• Must be looking for PART TIME work ONLY, 6
  -11 hours a week (small part time job, full time work only available during the summer)
• Must be organized, responsible, dependable, prompt, and ability to be flexible
• Must be able to commit to teaching through the end of the school year (June 2026)
• Must be able to CONFIDENTLY demonstrate simple directed drawings (we'll show you how, but you have to have confidence and basic drawing skills :)
• Must have your own reliable vehicle to transport Kidz Art supplies
• Must live in or close enough to Howard County to make an unpaid commute worth it
• Must be able to lift 20 - 30 lb. (rolling crate with supplies) in and out of car and have a secure place to store supplies
• Must love art and have the ability to draw on a basic level, experience teaching art not necessary, but a major plus!
• Must have classroom management experience (preferably leading a classroom of K-5th graders)

Classes typically are scheduled between 3:00 PM and 5:15 PM during the school year. Classes are 75 minutes long and you are paid for about 2 hours per class to allow 20 minutes for set up and 20 minutes for cleanup.
