The ideal candidate is hands‑on, innovative, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to bring complex mechanical systems from design to operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems and mechanisms, performing analyses and trade studies to optimize performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Execute detailed engineering design activities in accordance with established engineering standards, processes, and program requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support system integration, assembly, verification, and testing activities.
- Work with external suppliers and manufacturing partners by defining requirements, reviewing designs, and tracking development progress.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including requirements, drawings, interface definitions, and test procedures.
- Define, manage, and validate mechanical interfaces between subsystems and components.
- Support qualification and environmental testing activities, including vibration, thermal, and other validation efforts.
- Investigate hardware issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Present technical findings, design updates, and recommendations during engineering reviews.
- Identify and implement process improvements, emerging technologies, and innovative design solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis involving complex hardware systems.
- Experience with industry‑standard 3D CAD software such as Solid Works, Creo, NX, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with engineering analysis techniques and tools, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience working in highly regulated, high‑performance, or advanced technology industries.
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary systems that incorporate electrical, software, or controls engineering.
- Experience supporting products throughout the full development lifecycle, from concept through testing and delivery.
- Experience using PLM, PDM, or similar engineering data management systems.
