Position: Lead Interdisciplinary.

Duties

  • You will serve as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
  • You will interpret regulations, policies and guidelines.
  • You will act as a liaison for APG installations to regulatory officials.
  • You will perform tasks involving complex environmental compliance matters.
  • You will serve as a Team Lead, and in coordination with supervisor, ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated.
Requirements Conditions of employment
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • This position will requires lifting objects/items that are up to 40lbs.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • You must obtain and maintain US Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials Transportation, RCRA, HW, and OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training certifications.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • Must obtain and maintain Environmental Protection Agency standards for training requirements to provide compliance as required in 40 CFR Part 112 Spill Prevention.
  • Must obtain and maintain Environmental Protection Agency standards for training requirements to provide compliance as required in 40 CFR Part 112 Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Training.
  • Must obtain and maintain Environmental Protection Agency standards for training requirements to provide compliance as required in 40 CFR Part 112 AST/UST Inspector Training System Components (i.e. AEC Spill Prevention.
  • Must obtain and maintain Environmental Protection Agency standards for training requirements to provide compliance as required in 40 CFR Part 112 Control, and Countermeasure Requirements/Plan (SPCC), IM-01.
  • Must obtain and maintain Environmental Protection Agency standards for training requirements to provide compliance as required in 40 CFR Part 112 IM-01, AEC Let's Talk Tanks IM-01; SP001 ABOVE GROUND TANK SYSTEM INSPECTOR TRAINING.
  • Must obtain and maintain Contracting Officer Representative certifications.

Basic Requirement For Environmental Engineer:
  • Degree:
    Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); OR (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics;

    (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. OR

  • Combination of

    Education and Experience:

    College-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering. The adequacy of such background must be demonstrated by one of the following:
  • Professional registration or licensure
    - Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
