Overview
What You Will Do As an Availability Manager Level 2, you will support a high-profile government customer in a mission-critical operations environment. This role requires strong technical judgment, the ability to operate under pressure, and clear communication with both technical teams and senior leadership. You will play a key role in restoring services during outages, coordinating response efforts, and ensuring long-term stability through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
You will work closely with multiple teams and provide timely, high-level briefings to the customer and senior leadership, supporting operational continuity for critical systems.
- Coordinate with multiple technical and operational teams during system incidents and outages
- Provide high-level briefings and status updates to the customer and Senior leadership
- Perform time-sensitive decision-making in support of a large, high-visibility government client
- Support incident response efforts to restore service as quickly and safely as possible
- Conduct root cause analysis following service restoration to prevent recurrence of outages
- Document incidents, decisions, and corrective actions clearly and accurately
- Support ongoing system sustainment and operational readiness in a 24/7 environment
- Strong system administration experience in mission-critical environments
- Proven ability to make sound technical decisions under time pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including briefing senior leadership
- Strong coordination and collaboration skills across multiple teams
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability during complex technical issues
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Must be available to work one of the following shifts:
- Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Monday–Thursday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- High School Diploma or GED and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience
- Security+ is desired
- Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
