Compensation: $120,000 to $130,000 base salary plus bonus
OverviewWe are a long established Managed Service and Cloud Provider hiring a Senior Project Engineer to lead infrastructure, cloud, and network modernization projects across multiple client environments.
This is a project first role for an experienced MSP engineer who wants to spend most of their time building, migrating, upgrading, and improving client environments instead of sitting in a ticket queue.
You will join a collaborative engineering team with exceptionally low turnover, strong documentation standards, and a calm delivery focused culture where engineers are trusted to do the work the right way.
Role FocusYou will spend approximately 85% of your time on project delivery and 15% on high level escalation support. This includes server upgrades, cloud migrations, network refreshes, firewall changes, virtualization work, Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure initiatives, and infrastructure improvements for established clients. The right person is hands on, organized, client ready, and comfortable owning technical work from planning through implementation and and documentation.
Responsibilities- Lead infrastructure and cloud projects across multiple MSP client environments
- Deliver server upgrades, virtualization work, Microsoft 365 migrations, directory migrations, and Azure cloud projects
- Implement network improvements involving firewalls, switching, wireless, VPNs, ISP changes, and connectivity upgrades
- Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, VMware, Hyper V, and backup environments
- Own project execution independently or as part of a small technical team
- Assist with project planning, technical validation, implementation, testing, and post project support
- Document technical designs, configurations, implementation steps, and client environment changes
- Provide top level escalation support when complex infrastructure, cloud, or networking issues require senior engineering involvement
- Communicate clearly with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders throughout delivery
- Strong background in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and virtualization
- Experience with cloud migrations, server upgrades, network refreshes, and infrastructure modernization projects
- Working knowledge of AWS, firewalls, switching, wireless, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, backups, and core networking
- Ability to own project work with minimal oversight while maintaining strong documentation and communication
- Comfortable balancing hands on implementation, client communication, and senior escalation support
- Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, cloud platforms, networks, and hybrid infrastructure
- $120,000 to $130,000 base salary
