Description:
The Budgeting & FP&A Software Consultant is a full-time role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. This role involves implementing and configuring budgeting, forecasting, and performance management software solutions for clients, ensuring alignment with their financial planning and analytics needs. The consultant collaborates with finance and operations stakeholders to gather requirements, design workflows, and translate business processes into system configurations. Day-to-day activities include data modeling, integration with source systems, testing and troubleshooting applications, and providing end-user training and documentation.
The role also includes supporting clients post-implementation, identifying opportunities to improve analytics capabilities, and contributing to continuous enhancement of Neubrain’s solution offerings.
- Candidates should possess strong Software Consulting and general Consulting skills, including requirements gathering and solution design.
- Candidates should possess Software Development and Programming skills relevant to configuring, customizing, and extending budgeting and FP&A solutions.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Databases, including data modeling, querying, and integration with financial and operational data sources.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, FP&A processes, and performance management frameworks in government or enterprise environments is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional client teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work on‑site in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a consulting environment.
