We’re currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Housekeeper to join our caring and mission-driven community. This position works Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm, with a rotating every-other-weekend requirement.

The Housekeeper plays an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, guests, and team members. This position is responsible for performing daily housekeeping duties throughout the community while following all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.

What You’ll Do as an LVMG Housekeeper:
  • Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas such as offices, lounges, elevators, and dining spaces.
  • Empty trash, dust surfaces, vacuum carpets and hallways, mop floors, and sanitize frequently touched items (e.g., tables, chairs, ledges, thermostats, fire extinguishers).
  • Clean specialized areas including bathing facilities, soiled utility rooms, isolation rooms, and discharge rooms.
  • Assist with room turnover cleanings and prepare guest rooms, cottages, and community center areas as scheduled.
  • Provide support to Independent Living and Residential Living housekeeping teams asneeded, including weekend and relief coverage.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other tools safely and effectively.
  • Participate in all mandatory in-services and attend optional training sessions as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Must follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

What You’ll Need as a Housekeeper:

Education |Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in a long-term care facility is preferred.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families,visitors,and team members.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is required.
  • Must have adequate vision and hearing to perform job duties safely and effectively.
  • Requirestheabilitytostand,walk,turn,stoop,andmoveintermittentlythroughouttheday, often within confined areas.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds using safe handling practices.
  • Mustdemonstrateflexibility,personal integrity,andtheabilitytoworkindependentlyand collaboratively in a team environment.
  • May be necessary to assist with resident evacuation during emergency situations.
  • Complies with organizational health and safety requirements, includingvaccinationpolicies or valid exemptions.
