Job Summary

The Part-Time Wellness Nurse is responsible for supporting the health and well-being of residents in an assisted living community. This role includes monitoring residents’ medical needs, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while promoting a safe and supportive environment. Salary is $34.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine health assessments and monitor residents’ vital signs and overall condition
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
  • Coordinate care with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or nursing intervention as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and health changes
  • Assist with care planning and updates based on residents’ evolving needs
  • Provide health education and guidance to residents and staff
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Supervise or support caregiving staff as needed
Qualifications
  • Active LPN or RN license in good standing (state-specific)
  • Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or geriatrics (preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Schedule
  • Part-time hours (may include evenings, weekends, or holidays)
  • Flexible scheduling based on facility needs
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents as needed
  • Ability to lift or support residents in emergency or care situations
  • Manual dexterity for administering medications and treatments
