Private Duty Nurse (PDN) – School-Based

Location: Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), Maryland Pay: $45.00–$60.00 per hour

V-Tech Solutions is seeking compassionate RN Private Duty Nurses to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to students with complex medical needs during the school day. The nurse will support one assigned student throughout the school environment while following the student’s individualized healthcare plan.

• Provide continuous nursing care and health monitoring for assigned student
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Manage skilled nursing needs, including tracheostomy care, ventilator support, feeding tubes, catheterization, and other medical procedures as applicable
• Respond to medical emergencies and changes in student condition
• Document care provided and student response
• Collaborate with school nurses, educators, families, and healthcare providers

• Active RN nursing license
• Pediatric nursing or private duty nursing experience preferred
• Experience with medically fragile or complex-care students
• Skilled nursing procedure experience, including:
• Tracheostomy care
• Ventilator support
• Enteral feeding/feeding pumps
• Catheter care
• Medication administration
• Seizure and emergency management
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Accurate documentation and electronic charting skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently in a school-based environment
• Compassionate, reliable, and student-focused approach to car
