Elixirgen Therapeutics is a startup biotech company developing cutting‑edge therapies for rare and aging‑associated diseases with one program in a Phase 1/2 trial. The company is inviting applications for a Scientist specializing in preclinical ophthalmology research to join our dynamic team in advancing both the current and emerging therapeutics development programs.

Role:

The Scientist will carry out experiments, contribute to cross‑functional collaborations, and may potentially play a supervisory role within research teams. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, committed to therapeutic innovation, and driven to tackle complex challenges in translational research. The successful candidate will hold a doctoral degree and demonstrate deep expertise in ophthalmological research and rare and common diseases of the eye.

Skills:

We’re seeking individuals that bring hands‑on experience in one or more of the following:

• Developing and validating mouse/rat models of AMD, diabetic retinopathy, inherited retinal dystrophies, Stargardt disease, Usher syndrome, etc.
• Molecular Biology (Molecular cloning, PCR, qRT‑PCR, Western blot, ELISA, Genome editing)
