ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of innovative engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the front‑end processing services of a mission‑critical tool. You won't just maintain legacy code—you’ll actively architect modern, high‑throughput Java applications, streamline data ingress, and pivot rapidly across complex technical challenges. From manipulating processing‑intensive analytics and high‑volume messaging queues to deploying scalable services in Kubernetes, if you thrive on solving hard problems alongside an elite dev team, you’ll fit right in with Team Nyla.

The annual base salary range for this role is $189,000-$224,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

• Core Java & REST Architecture:
  Extensive hands‑on experience developing server‑side Java applications and RESTful web services (no front‑end UI required).
• Containerization & Orchestration:
  Direct experience deploying and managing software services using Kubernetes.
• Enterprise Messaging Systems:
  Experience configuring and working with JMS/Messaging systems (e.g., ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ).
• Agile Tooling & Methodologies:
  Proven capability working in fast‑paced Agile environments using Git, Jira, Confluence, and modern IDEs (IntelliJ or Eclipse).
• Agility & Adaptability:
  Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage shifting priorities, and pivot rapidly across dynamic operational requirements.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 14 + years of professional software development experience OR High School Diploma / GED
, PLUS 18+ years of hands‑on technical software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Modern Language Capabilities:

Experience with
Kotlin or Python for rapid automation and service development.

Spring Ecosystem: Hands‑on experience with Spring or Spring Boot frameworks.

Modern Database Systems: Experience querying and integrating non‑relational databases like MongoDB
.

Data Routing & Pipelines: Familiarity with Apache Ni Fi for automated data routing and payload ingestion workflows.

PAY
