A well-established company in Ellington, CT is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger activity, reporting directly to the Controller.

• Process high-volume Accounts Payable transactions
• Manage vendor invoices, approvals, reconciliations, and discrepancies
• Prepare and execute weekly check runs and electronic payments
• Handle Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, cash applications, and aging
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Assist with month‑end close and account reconciliations
• Support payroll processing via ADP
• Work within the company’s ERP system
• Collaborate with the accounting team and assist with audits and ad hoc projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience with strong A/P and A/R exposure
• Experience with check runs, journal entries, and reconciliations
• ADP payroll experience preferred
• ERP system experience required (manufacturing environment a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment
